About the Book

Newly divorced and with his career in jeopardy, Detective Connor Parks takes solace in the arms of a beautiful woman he meets at a bar. The next morning, Claire Fletcher is gone, leaving nothing behind but an address and a decade-old mystery. The address leads to the Fletcher family home where Claire’s siblings inform Connor that their fifteen-year-old sister was abducted from a city street ten years ago and is presumed dead.

During those ten years, Claire endured the cruel torture and depravity of the man who abducted her. Paralyzed by fear and too ashamed to return to her family, Claire is resigned to her life as Lynn, the identity her abductor forced upon her. Every time she attempts escape or betrays him in the smallest way, someone dies. Even now, her clandestine run-in with Connor Parks may have put his life at risk, as well as the lives of her family.

Connor is convinced that not only is Claire Fletcher alive, but that she is also the woman he met at the bar. Driven to see her again, he begins his own investigation, off the clock and without the police department's consent. He is determined to find her and unravel the mystery of her abduction and odd reemergence. But finding Claire Fletcher proves more dangerous than he anticipates. In fact, it may be deadly.

Reviews (Excerpts)

- "Finding Claire Fletcher is a special kind of read. Brutally honest, well-written, gripping - a real page-turner. This is what I like about discovering unknown authors and giving them a try. You are often pleasantly surprised and want more. This is not your normal kind of crime thriller and detective novel. This is something more, something unique. Lisa Regan has created something special with this novel. If you are hooked on suspense this will not disappoint." - Cindy Vine

- "The story of a kidnapped girl is not new to us, and yet Lisa Regan delivers a novel that's powerful and fresh, giving Claire a unique voice that leaps off the page. Even though parts were extremely difficult to read, I kept turning the pages into the wee hours of the night, because I couldn't let Claire go without knowing how it was all going to end." - Jenny (Amazon)

- "[...] I couldn’t help thinking that Lisa Regan must have done a lot of research before writing this book. As well as all the technical information, I’m sure she must have read many interviews or personally interviewed many victims. Her mastery of descriptive and figurative language allows the readers to immerse themselves into the emotions that Claire and the other characters were feeling. They become real people." - Karen Lea

- "Exciting read. I enjoyed every minute of this book. It is suspenseful, but not too graphic so it will appeal to all levels of "suspense" book lovers." - Gretchen Oman

- "[...] This story will frighten you, make you angry, cry, and cringe, but it will also energize your faith in the human spirit and its ability to heal and move forward. Regan deserves every one of these five stars for her original and haunting debut novel." - Story Girl (Amazon)

About the Author

Author Lisa Regan
Author Lisa Regan
Lisa Regan was born in Philadelphia, a product of two large Irish Catholic families whose roots run deep in her neighborhood. From the moment she was able to put words onto the page, she was writing: poems, stories, and even novels. At age eleven, her parents bought her a typewriter, on which she wrote her first full-length novel. By the time she was eighteen, she had written four terrible young adult novels. Between eighteen and twenty-two, she had a crisis of confidence and although she kept writing, she was unable to finish any novel-length projects.

She spent her time working in bookstores while completing college. She spent two years at the Community College of Philadelphia before transferring to Bloomsburg University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English and a master of education degree. To make ends meet, she worked as both a certified nurse assistant and a karate instructor. In 2002 she finally finished her first adult novel, which remains on a flash drive in her nightstand. In 2006, she finished what would become her first published novel: Finding Claire Fletcher.

After being passed over by more than 150 agents and then more than a dozen publishers, her first novel was published in December 2012, followed by her second novel, Aberration, in June 2013. Finding Claire Fletcher won Best Heroine and was runner-up for Best Novel in the 2013 eFestival of Words Best of the Independent eBook Awards. It was a finalist for the Kindle Book Review's Best Kindle Book Awards in 2014. In December 2013, the novel reached number one on Amazon's Bestselling Kidnapping Crime Fiction list; in the same month, her second novel, Aberration reached number one on Amazon's Serial Killer Crime Fiction Bestseller list.

Lisa currently resides in Philadelphia with her husband and daughter where she works full time and works on her future novels while waiting in line at the local post office.
