Featured Indie Book on Indie Author News: Science Fiction Adventure Spartanica (The Survivors of Sapertys) by Powers Molinar.

Spartanica has a fantastic cast of very entertaining yet believable characters caught up in pulse-pounding, unpredictable plot that keeps readers guessing every step of the way. It's hard to tell enemies from allies until it's crunch time, and even then you're never really sure. Once you start reading, Spartanica keeps you wanting more, as will the ending.

The Book has been published via Amazon CreateSpace and is available as eBook and Paperback - 388 pages - released in November 2013.

About the Book

Ty and Marcus Mitchell are just your average kids. Like most brothers, they argue, go to school, and goof around with friends.

Life at home is downright plain and easy until the boys are sucked through a portal to a parallel dimension. Now, what the brothers thought was impossible very quickly becomes all too real. They soon discover they only have seven days to get home or risk never getting back. With the help of a mysterious new friend, Bellana, they battle through unimaginable beasts and bloodthirsty enemies just to survive.

Is all this insanity just a figment of Ty's very vivid imagination, or will the brothers be forced to live out their lives in the devastated yet deadly wasteland called Spartanica?

Reviews (Excerpts)

- "I really enjoy reading science fiction books and Spartanica was a perfect match. My son loved it and I did it too. I liked the characters, I liked the plot, I liked the settings and I liked how everything is tied together. The best testimony I can give is that when you start the book, you cannot put it down before the end. It doesn’t happen to many books but Spartanica is one of them. The pace of the story, the suspense, the action scenes, the surprises, the technical terms, the imagination, the science fiction, you have it all. [...] " - Christophe G

- "[...] Spartanica was not a book I was expecting to be drawn into, but it was a book that left me wanting more. It is also a book I’ve recommended to others. Spartanica is an enjoyable adventure, one you know the author enjoyed writing and that, very often, makes a difference. I look forward to seeing what more he has to offer. " - Kimberly Hicks

- "Having read a great deal of YA books to find suitable ones for my kid I would have to say that this one was very enjoyable and appropriate. Lots of action, adventure, ROUSs, cool toys, interesting foundation for technology/energy, a bit of romance (yea, at the kid level (googlie eyes sort of thing)). No major character deaths (anyone that gets killed is a NPC (non-player character - think the "Red Shirts" on Star Trek)) It was quick and fun to read. Very age appropriate and believable dialog.[...] " - Fred in IT

- "My son loved this book. He says the action and adventure is great, likes the humor and wit shown, and generally thought it was a great first novel." - Hampy Camper
