Reviews (Excerpts)

- "[...] I particulary enjoyed the plot, the card boxes under the bridge and the handouts the "kid" received during the 30 years. The policeman who watched over him nightly and others that he was unaware of kept him alive, I really enjoyed the book and as I am not an avid reader but I could not help myself from finishing one chapter and ready to go to the next. " - R. Svensson

- "What a story! I couldn't put it down. It was everything I love in a story. Compelling characters that you could identify with. Significant social commentary. And a message of ultimate hope and faith in humanity.[...]" - Tommy Ray

Author Réal Laplaine
Author Réal Laplaine
Réal Laplaine has published seven works to-date. He has led an exciting and adventurous life - everything from pulling people from a burning car, fighting range fires, volunteer work in disaster zones or stopping abusive beatings - all of which add a sense of realism to his books.

He knows what it feels like to have a gun aimed at his head and the tragic effects of a tsunami and the sense of fulfilment in helping others recover their lives.

He writes in the action-thriller genres but always, his books contain the weave of good versus bad, honour, integrity and human rights - which dominate the plots.
