Author Jackie Barreau
Jackie Barreau started writing poetry after the deaths of her two sons.

But it was in 2001 when author Adrienne Ryan was looking for contributors for her book 'A Silent Love' (on stillbirth, miscarriage and neonatal death) that Jackie contributed a chapter about her own experience.

Her daughter's diagnosis of a rare genetic disorder in 2012, prompted her to write her first book penned on grief and loss.
