Reviews (Excerpts)

- "[...] Most of Ms. Minkman's poetry speaks to overcoming harsh events. While one poem evokes the despair of loss, the next evokes hope and recovery. She reminds the reader through her imagery that although we can be on our knees in pain throughout life, we also have the ability to overcome, to stand tall again. We can be restored and renewed into a new level of personal power. At the end we are left with the strongest reminder of all in the final untitled poem which tells us to "sing a song of forgetfulness", that this is not the real world, it is only a dream within ourselves. In my mind this is a reminder that as the Dreamer we can take our power to create our lives on our own terms or allow others to take it from us and turn us into victims. Undercurrent was a great read, a thought provoking and especially wonderful diversion during tax season! I look forward to reading more of Ms. Minkman's words in the future. " - Laura M. Wolf

- "I strongly recommend this book to anyone who has a love for words. Most of the poems are short, but they will keep you thinking for hours. " - K.S. Haigwood

- "[...] It's deep, sometimes dark poetry and yet full of hope somehow. [...] But don't let that stop you. Definitely check this one out! " - BookLover (Amazon)

She is a published author of Women's Fiction and paranormal romance in the Netherlands. Her first novel in English will be released in 2013.
