Talion is a suspense thriller with some paranormal elements. The protagonist, Lu, sees spirits who are real to her but might or might not exist outside her mind. Their reality and motives are tested as Lu and her new friend Lisa become the target of a sadistic serial killer.

She enjoys reading, playing Scrabble, and riding her horse, Tucker. She graduated from Knox College with Honors in creative writing and received an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
She taught writing for many years at Eastern Illinois University. Her short fiction has appeared in literary journals and has been honored with a Writer's Grant and a Literary Award from the Illinois Arts Council. She is the author of the paranormal thriller Talion.
