The Sugar Ticket is a relate-able read, and one that is based on true experience and emotional struggles.

The Book has been self-published via Jumping Jersey Jenkins Books and is available as eBook and Paperback - 184 pages - released in October 2013.

About the Book

Cindy Layton and Jay DeMatteo are back again! The Sugar Ticket chronicles their marital journey as the two twice-divorced adults learn to embrace the sweetness of their present. When the inevitable complications arise, will the DeMatteo's gently overcome their obstacles by alleviating the sour taste of the past through the light-hearted humor you enjoyed in Dinosaurs and Cherry Stems, or will they sweep their issues under the proverbial taboo-topic carpet?

Find out how these two mid-life adolescents meet their daily tribulations head on, as they conquer their fears, secrets revealed, and the most fundamental challenge of all - remaining in love forever.

Reviews (Excerpts)

- "Susan Jean Ricci has a knack for story telling. At times, you laugh out loud, and other times there is a tear welling up in your eye. I enjoyed the journey of Cindy and Jay through the trials of life for the youth deprived in some interesting ways. Their relationship with their surroundings and the trip into the unknown with the "Snark Ark" was hillarious.[...]" - Joseph C.

- "The reader gets a ring-side-viewing of these two dusty newlyweds navigating the matrimonial halls of a new existence: new partners, rigid, post-nuptial boundaries, simmering, haunting secrets and festering, always-there in your face insecurities. RELATIONSHIPS!! I admit, I had several laugh-out-loud, bring me some water moments reading the travails of these two not so innocent, innocents.[...] Trust me, you WILL enjoy!" - Douglas W. Wickard

- "[...] is an imaginative expose of those little things that bind us to the special people with whom we share life, love and home. Cindy & Jay's romance in the midst of daily trials and tribulations reminded me to always be intentional when showing how I care.
