Oh Brother! (Kimberly Sentek)
Featured Indie Book on Indie Author News: Children's Book Oh Brother!: A Nico and Tugger Tale by Kimberly Sentek.

The amazing Children's Book Oh Brother!: A Nico and Tugger Tale is told from both characters' points of view, so this helps children understand that each person may see the same story differently. The Book features color pictures, and the story is in rhyme. The story is about how my two dogs became brothers, and it is told from both of their points of view. Children, especially those with siblings, can relate to the story.

The Book has been published via Trafford and is available as eBook and Paperback - 28 pages - released in October 2012.

About the Book

Meet Nico and Tugger, two dogs that became brothers. Their story is an endearing and fun look at sibling rivalry--from two points of view.

Two stories in one–double the reading fun–is what you get in “Oh Brother!: A Nico and Tugger Tale.” In the first of a planned series you will meet Nico, an only dog that likes it that way, and Tugger, the pesky puppy that changes Nico’s life when Tugger is brought home.

The book provides both dogs’ versions of the same tale, illustrating that even with these canine brothers there is more than one side to a story.

Reviews (Excerpts)

- "[...] One very fine idea Sentek pulls off is to make her story in two parts - one from the stance of the family dog Nico and the other from the new family pup Tugger. Essentially the story relates the rivalry Nico feels with all the attention and favors the newly arrived puppy Tugger receives, feelings he gradually changes when Tugger pays attention to him. Then we hear Tugger's side of the relationship and how he decides on a way to gain acceptance by his older `brother'. Of course by story's end we have two devoted brothers - a lesson in sibling response that is directly related to children of the human species!
Eumir Carlo Fernandez provides the well-created illustrations and design of the book. Sentek and Fernandez make a solid pair and hopefully we'll be hearing more tales about Nico and Tugger! Highly recommended."

- "This is a great story for a child who is about to have a new sibling or to teach kids about how much better it is to have a brother/sister than to be an only child! You and your kids will enjoy the story of Nico and Tugger as told by a terrific and talented author! Buy this great book for your kids, you wont be disappointed!! " - Christina Cuevas

- "This is a terrific little lesson, geared to the youngest of hearts, on how to adapt to new environments and new personalities. The dogs are perfect role models on how to handle (and how NOT to handle) jealousy and sibling rivalry.
The illustrations, by Eumir Carlo Fernandez, are absolutely perfect. They catch the nuances and emotions in the faces of the dogs so well that it is very easy to see what they are feeling. "
