Featured Indie Book: HerStory (Delaina M. Waldron)

HerStory (Delaina M. Waldron)
Featured Indie Book on Indie Author News: Paranormal Thriller HerStory by Delaina M. Waldron.

There are not many fictional stories about African slaves and Native American Indians, especially with a paranormal twist. I wanted to give the reader a chance to witness a story of two cultures who had so much in common whether by force or by nature. It is a special story about two cultures that learn from each other and accept their differences but come to understand that they are more similar than they thought all because of one young African slave woman with special powers.

The Book has been self-published via Amazon and CreateSpace and is available as eBook and Paperback – 453 pages - released in December 2012.

Reviews (Excerpts)

- “The author manages to skillfully mix both African shaminism and Native American elements without ever allowing the differences to blur. I found myself unusually engrossed in the story; part of the pull was the prose itself, which has a haunting, mystical tone throughout. Flashbacks are rarely written well., but the author of HERSTORY weaves them in without ever breaking the flow, and they're always perfectly timed and just the right length so that the flashbacks actually add substantially to the story. As much as I enjoyed the book overall, it was the surprise at the end of it that truly blew me away. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the entire book is worth reading just to see how the story ends. Besides the surprise ending that made the book seem so well written, it was incredible how easily the author tied up all the loose ends.
If you want to truly escape with a good read, this story will really pull you in. I just can't recommend it highly enough.”
