Daughter to Hesperia’s powerful elf king, Kalyah is devastated when she finds she can’t do what the rest of her people can: draw magic from the Earth. Her affliction makes her an outcast in her own family and an embarrassment to the Marnoein name.

Tired of being rejected by her father and receiving pitied looks from her people, Kalyah decides to find her own worth by proving that magic is not everything. But when she ventures out from the safety of her castle home to sneak into Torynn’s Land, a dense wood bordering the Ranoshian elf kingdom and their enemy, the savage centaurs of Krumwharl, Kalyah finds that even the smallest of steps can cause the biggest of ripples as the consequences begin to shake her perspective of the world she thought she knew.
