Author Jennifer Slater

Jennifer Slater was born in Guyana, South America, but has lived in the United States since 1981 and currently resides in Hutto, TX. She has been married for 19 years and is the proud mother of two wonderful teenagers. As a child, she was very shy and always had her nose in a book.

Her desire to someday write a novel grew with each book that she read.

The most positive indication that she actually did have some writing talent, occurred when she received an "A" in her creative writing class from Oscar Hijuelos, the Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love, who was her Professor at Hofstra University at the time.
