Featured Indie Book: Cake, A Fairy Tale (Dina Keratsis)

Cake, A Fairy Tale (Dina Keratsis)
Featured Indie Book on Indie Author News: Fantasy Romance Cake, A Fairy Tale by Dina Keratsis.

"I really loved the modern day/magical mix in the romantic fairy tale's storyline. It was certainly romantic, but also scary, suspenseful and then even humorous at times. (Of course it also had just the right amount of 'steamy' too.) All in all Cake was a fun read that left me wanting more...Cake!" - Reader Review

The Book has been self-published via Amazon, CreateSpace & others and is available as eBook and Paperback. (278 pages - released in July 2013)

About the Book

He will protect her, the last of her line, but only she can fulfill her destiny and be the woman she was born to become.

She has nothing left to lose…

When Breena stumbles into the enchanted borderland of Cake, she is given the choice to return to her world or face the unknown. Unable to bear returning to her empty life, she embraces the challenge, much to the annoyance of the handsome, brooding Rune.

He wants redemption…

Long ago, Rune failed in his duty to guard the Queen Likely and vowed never again to let desire rule him. Then he meets Breena, the last Likely, and least likely, to succeed. Sworn to protect her from the killer who seeks to destroy Cake, Rune is forced to face his awakening desire for the one woman he can never have.

Together, they embark on a magical journey to save Cake and while Rune abandons his heart, Breena discovers that she has everything to lose.

Reviews (Excerpts)

- "The world that Keratsis has created is full of colors, textures, smells and flavors that I couldn't help but savor. The characters are wonderfully flawed. Every woman knows a Breena (the protaganist), or has been a Breena at some point in her life. She is likeable, someone I never felt hesitant to root for. I'm not even making an attempt to describe her male counterpart. You'll have to meet Rune for yourself! Cake is very well written, suspenseful, and laced with enjoyable references to familiar but, at the same time, newly rendered characters.[...]" - Anne M. Galvin

- "A beautifully written fairy tale. Reading this romance was literally the best escape of my summer. Falling in love with these characters made it so easy to transport my mind to another world and to absorb myself entirely in the magic that is "Cake". A must read! " - Tex (Amazon)

- "'Cake' takes you away to a land long forgotten from childhood!!! The make believe world that Dina Keratsis creates while mixing it with the modern world of Somerville, MA is truly fascinating. 'Cake' is an adventure combined with classic fairy tale Romance (adult style). You cannot help but read on to see if Breena claims her destiny and if Rune claims his true love.[...]" - Amy M. Kalogeropoulos

- "I liked this book so much I read it twice.[...] " - Tia (Amazon)
